Mimi Parker, Low Singer and Drummer, Dies at age 55

Mimi Parker, the vocalist and drummer of the band Low, died on Saturday at the age of 55 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

The band shared a message on social media. "Friends, it's hard to put the universe into language and into a short message," they wrote. "But She passed away last night, surrounded by family and love, including yours."

The band, based in Duluth, Minnesota

The band was founded by Parker and her husband, Alan Sparhawk.

Parker was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, had to cancel several concerts because of treatments 

The band has cancelled several concerts in the U.K. and Europe due to her treatment 

The band has released 13 studio albums as of today.

Parker is survived by her husband, and two children.
